Chris Degenhardt is an artist and graphic designer, as well as author of a number of books.

Chris Degenhardt K.R.O. Born 28th December 1948 England His artistic interest began as a child when he sat outside for many hours at a time painting landscapes around Bury St. Edmunds, his home town in Suffolk.

At age 13 he won an award in a national art competition (The Island of Coal) sponsored by the British Coal Board. After graduating from the Great Yarmouth College of Art and Design he worked in London, first, as a visual artist with NCK (Norman Craig and Kummel) advertising agency and later, as a freelance graphic and typographic designer.

Chris sees the Pointillist art style as a representation of molecular structure giving his work an illusion of solid form and mass. He sees his art work as a mixture of both European Pointillism and Aboriginal dot art. Although not of Aboriginal heritage himself, Chris feels a strong connection to the energies of this rich landscape through which he expresses his art.
